Who doesn’t love Woolfolk yarn? NO ONE! So every time I am invited to submit a design to one of their collections, I am all in!
SOREN is part of Woolfolk‘s new F/W2018 collection photographed at the incredible Olson Kundig designed Outpost. It is the last in a group of sweaters where I explored the use of a triangular shape (or reverse A-line), resulting in the full expression: a batwing sleeve!
Sometimes, like in the case of SOREN, I am playing with an idea over the course of many designs, to see just how far it can be pushed. For SOREN, it was how to use what I think of as an upside-down triangle shape to create a different drape and fit.
I started playing with this shaping last year with KEYSTONE. Essentially, I reversed an A-line shape.
The next iteration was with BAYADERE, where I also added texture to the design.
