I am so happy to introduce my collection of designs inspired by woolfolk yarns; VERSACIKNITS woolfolk!
I first met Kristin Ford, founder of woolfolk, when I was a fledgling designer and she was the creative director of one of my favorite yarn companies. We took to each other immediately and we have been collaborating ever since. When I heard that she was founding her own company, I knew that her yarns would be spectacular. Once I had woolfolk yarns in my hands, I knew I wanted to design a whole collection with them.
Woolfolk is aptly named after Kristin’s maternal grandmother. The company is dedicated to responsibly sourcing the finest fleece from around the world to create luxurious handknitting yarns. The first two, TYND and FÅR, are remarkable for both their heritage and exquisite hand.
The VERSACIKNITS woolfolk collection showcases these extraordinary fibers. I created a collection that both celebrates the feel of these wonderful yarns and takes advantage of their sophisticated color palette…a collection of soft and wearable garments with simple, clean lines, crisp textures, and modern design.
